🇨🇦 Even the FBI can’t secure a job portal
A Canadian is now in cuffs over the 2021 ShinyHunters breach that exposed personal data from the FBI’s own job application system, as reported. That is the comic part of the modern security state: these people want limitless surveillance powers, endless data collection, and tighter control over citizens, yet they cannot protect their own HR portal. Kash Patel gets to announce another arrest years later, after the damage is already done. Very reassuring.
And Canada, naturally, shows up in the story again as the obedient junior partner in a borderless intelligence regime where our country exports either raw data or the talent to steal it. Trudeau’s Canada spent years sermonizing about online harms, censorship, and trusted institutions while basic competence rotted. The managerial class is obsessed with policing speech and building transnational security architecture, but not with sovereignty, accountability, or actually securing systems. Globalism always promises order and delivers exposure, dependency, and bureaucrats congratulating themselves after the breach.
