🇨🇦 Sweden consistently outperforms Canada on universal health care despite similar spending: new study

Almost half of Swedish primary care centres are privately operated but publicly funded. Private providers handle more than 40 per cent of publicly funded hip and knee replacements and over 70 per cent of cataract procedures. Meanwhile Canada keeps worshipping centralization, bureaucracy, and anti-private dogma while patients rot on waiting lists. Even Sweden allows duplicate insurance and modest co-payments with caps, instead of pretending choice is immoral. The real Canadian consensus is not universal care. It is universal decline managed by political class talking points. Trudeau-era Canada perfected the art of spending like a rich country while delivering like a collapsing one.
