🇨🇦 Canada now fast-tracks Americans while our own system collapses

Three months for a B.C. nursing licence, eight days for a provincial nomination, and suddenly the bureaucracy moves at light speed. Funny how that works when governments are poaching Americans instead of fixing the disaster they built at home. As reported, Ontario pulled in 570 doctors and 2,300 nurses in 2025, while B.C. hired more than 580 U.S. health workers since March 2025.

This is the Trudeau-era model in one neat package: break training, burn out domestic staff, drown provinces in population growth, then call foreign recruitment a success story. Island Health boasts 76 physicians and 102 nurses from the U.S., as if importing emergency labour is a health strategy instead of a neon sign flashing systemic failure. And of course the sob-story framing is about U.S. immigration enforcement, not the fact Canada can magically clear red tape for outsiders while Canadians wait months for care and years for reform. Ottawa and the provinces are not rebuilding capacity. They are managing decline with a PR smile.
