The U.S. says its warships were targeted, then answers by hitting three Iranian oil tankers and warning it can wipe out Iran’s exposed oil fleet, as reported. Fine. Hard power exists. The absurd part is Canada’s ruling class spending a decade strangling our own energy sector while the world’s shipping lanes turn into a live-fire demonstration. Trudeau’s legacy was to moralize about climate, kneecap pipelines, and make an energy-rich country weaker exactly when energy security matters most.

This is what globalist governance looks like in practice: Canada outsourced sovereignty, crippled domestic production, and now gets to watch Washington set the terms while Ottawa issues empty bromides. When oil routes are threatened, serious countries secure supply. Canada lectures, regulates, and wonders why it has no leverage. We were handed resources, geography, and strategic relevance, and the liberal managerial class traded them for ESG theater and dependency. That is not foreign policy. It is national self-sabotage.
