🇨🇦 Fifty per cent tariff, zero sovereignty

An Ottawa artist cancels a Boston exhibition because Washington slapped a 50 per cent tariff on Canadian art, and that tiny story says more about Canada’s collapse than a year of parliamentary speeches. This is the end state of the Trudeau era and its managerial heirs: hollow out domestic industry, tie the country to global supply chains, preach post-national nonsense, then act shocked when another country puts its own interests first. Our political class loves borderless sermons when flooding the country with cheap labour and imported social tension, but suddenly discovers nationalism when U.S. tariffs hit the donor class and cultural sector. Canada keeps electing people who confuse sovereignty with branding, and then wonders why everyone else prices us like a vassal.
