Funny how sovereignty becomes trendy only when the political class needs a jobs photo-op in Thunder Bay, as reported.

Of course, this is the same ruling mindset that spent years hollowing out national capacity, flooding the country with population growth infrastructure cannot handle, and treating Canada like a post-national service zone for global capital. Now they repackage a basic national-interest policy as visionary statesmanship. Building in Canada should be the default, not a miracle announcement from the same crowd that outsourced resilience, imported dependency, and called it progress. If Ottawa were serious about sovereignty, this would be the start of a wider industrial reset, not another taxpayer-funded branding exercise for the managerial class.
