🇨🇦 Victims forgotten, bureaucracy protected

The killer gets parole machinery; the victim’s family gets silence. That is the real Canadian justice model now. In Thunder Bay, the family of an Indigenous woman murdered in a hate-fuelled attack says they were never notified about the offender’s parole process, as reported. Ottawa lectures the country nonstop about reconciliation, trauma, healing, and sacred apologies, then cannot manage the bare minimum of informing a murdered woman’s relatives that her killer is moving through the system.

This is liberal Canada in a nutshell: endless moral theatre, zero institutional loyalty to actual citizens. The state can build whole departments around land acknowledgements and consultant jargon, but when it comes to protecting families, enforcing consequences, or even basic notice, suddenly nobody is home. Indigenous Canadians are paraded as symbols when it flatters the regime, then abandoned when the cameras leave. A country that cannot put victims before offenders is not compassionate. It is unserious, managerial, and rotten.
