🇨🇦 Canada has leverage, thanks to the resources Ottawa spent years sabotaging

The funniest part of this tariff panic is that even the regime economists admit Canada holds real cards: 63 per cent of U.S. oil imports, nearly 100 per cent of its imported natural gas, 81.3 per cent of imported electricity and 80 per cent of potash, as reported. In other words, this country still matters because of the very energy and commodity sectors the Trudeau-Carney class spent a decade throttling with net-zero dogma, regulatory warfare and elite guilt sermons.

Now Mark Carney wants to posture about being masters of our destiny after Ottawa killed pipelines, chased away investment and left Canada absurdly dependent on one buyer. That is not strategy. That is managed decline wrapped in patriotic theatre. Even this debate exposes the real scandal: Canada’s leverage exists in spite of the globalist political class, not because of it. A sovereign government would have built export capacity, diversified markets and treated energy as power. The Laurentian managerial caste treated it as a moral embarrassment until Trump reminded them reality still exists.
