So Canadian citizens sail into a foreign war zone on a Gaza flotilla, get detained by Israeli forces, and then calmly expect Ottawa to shepherd them home. That is the late-Trudeau model in miniature: endless consular babysitting for political tourism overseas while the state can barely secure its own borders, streets, or national cohesion. The only hard fact here is that these Canadians are now returning after the detention, as reported, and the usual class of moral exhibitionists will pretend this was courage rather than spectacle.

Canada is supposed to be a sovereign country, not a globalist waiting room for every imported conflict and identity crusade. Our political class spent years turning foreign causes into domestic status badges, then acts shocked when Canadian passports become props in someone else’s geopolitical theatre.
