1️⃣ Instagram is testing clickable links in posts
Instagram is quietly testing something the platform has been missing for a long time - clickable links directly inside feed posts.
For now, this is not a full rollout, but limited access for Meta Verified users. Meta has also added a limit: no more than 10 links per month per profile.
❓ Why does it matter?
If the feature rolls out more widely, Instagram could become much more convenient for direct traffic flow. No need to constantly send users through the “link in bio,” Stories, or workaround mechanics.
2️⃣ Meta introduces location fees from July 1, 2026
The news itself is not new, but July 1 is getting closer. Meta is adding additional advertising fees in selected countries.
New fees:
Austria — 5%
France — 3%
Italy — 3%
Spain — 3%
Turkey — 5%
UK — 2%
❓ Why does it matter?
In practice, these GEOs will become more expensive at the media buying level, so CPM/CPA for these markets should be recalculated in advance.
3️⃣ Meta increased the audience retention window for Purchase events in the pixel
The audience retention window for Purchase events has increased from 180 to 730 days. For gambling, this is especially important because Purchase is often used as the event for deposits: FTDs and repeat deposits.
❓ What changes?
The pixel will remember valuable players for longer, which means it will have more data for optimization and repeat touchpoints.
