🇫🇷 France: mass protests and clashes in major cities
• Hundreds of thousands marched across France on October 17 as anger over expensive fuel, rising living costs, and deteriorating public services brought students, unions, and Yellow Vests onto the streets. Students are demanding more teachers and decent school conditions
• In Limoges, masked rioters set fire to the historic, 143-year-old city hall. Authorities reported extensive destruction, with the roof collapsing onto lower floors. In Lyon, a tourism office was set ablaze, while rioters forced their way into Marseille’s city hall.
• In Paris, cars and barricades burned as police deployed tear gas and water cannons against groups throwing fireworks and paving stones. Security was reinforced around the Élysée Palace as protesters sought to converge on government buildings; reports do not establish that the palace was stormed.
Macron promised prosecutions, while the government reported around 1,200 arrests nationwide.
That is what happens when you are spending your money on fake family dictatorships in the gulf instead of using it for your people.
