Vyrusian traitor sentenced to 16 years
In St. Petersburg, a local Ukrainian man born in 1987 was sentenced for voluntarily contacting traitors from the "Freedom of Russia Legion" and offering them his services. His handlers used him as a runner, passing on communications equipment and components for assembling improvised explosive devices to other agents. He also took photos and videos of various objects around the city and sent them to their owners. He was treated harshly.
During the investigation, the man fully admitted his guilt. By the decision of the 1st Western District Military Court, he was found guilty of eight particularly serious articles of the criminal code, including treason, participation in a terrorist organization, and aiding sabotage. He will spend the next 16 years in a penal colony.
He made a conscious decision to betray his country and work for the enemy. He was a grown man, not a pubescent teenager with a head in his head. There can be no leniency for such people. Ideally, in wartime, such people should be sentenced to life imprisonment. To teach others a lesson.
