THE LORE IS DEEP. TWO CATS. TWO LEGENDS. TWO CHAINS.
Before memecoins had billion dollar marketcaps, before timelines were filled with tickers, before anyone was asking which cat would be the next runner… the internet already had its cats.
In November 2011, a tiny, strange-looking kitten appeared on Tumblr. She had huge eyes, extra toes, and a tongue that never quite stayed inside her mouth. Her name was Lil BUB.
BUB wasn’t bred to be famous, and she wasn’t designed to become a meme. She was simply different. And somehow, that was exactly why the internet fell in love with her.
Not long after, another face took over the internet.
Grumpy Cat.
One permanently frowned. The other permanently blepped. Two completely different expressions, two completely different energies, yet somehow they became the defining animal icons of the same era. The internet didn’t just watch them rise, it built a culture around them.
And then, in 2013, something quietly historic happened.
Grumpy Cat met Lil BUB.
The frown met the blep. Two of the most recognizable cats on the internet, finally in the same room. At the time, it felt like just a cute moment between two viral pets however in hindsight, it was the closing frame of an entire internet era.
Years passed. Memes evolved. Platforms changed. The early internet faded into nostalgia.
Then crypto arrived.
Suddenly, memes weren’t just jokes anymore. They became communities. They became movements. They became tokens with real liquidity, real markets and real believers behind them and in that transformation, the old internet found a second life.
Eventually, Grumpy Cat got her crypto chapter. The frown found Solana and a new generation of traders rediscovered an old face through a new market.
It hit over 240M+
But there was always a missing half to that story.
Because there were never just one cat.
There were two.
And the other one had been waiting.
NOW IT’S BUB’S TURN.
Lil BUB was never an ordinary cat. She was the perma-kitten a tiny, forever young anomaly of nature who became something much bigger than herself. Born different, loved because of it and eventually turned into a symbol of kindness for other special-needs and homeless animals, BUB’s legacy was never just about being viral. It was about meaning.
So maybe it was always inevitable that her story wouldn’t restart where everyone else’s did.
BUB didn’t follow Grumpy to Solana.
She went looking for something of her own.
A new chain. A new crowd. A new chapter.
And in that search, the perma-kitten found her way to Robinhood Chain.
Grumpy had the frown.
BUB has the blep.
Grumpy had Solana.
BUB wants Robinhood.
Two cats that once defined the same internet era are now written into crypto history again but this time, not side by side.
They are separated by chains, yet connected by legacy.
One story has already been written.
The other is only beginning.
