Nazarabad, Tump District — Waseem, son of Abdul Nabi, was allegedly abducted by unknown armed individuals from his shop on Friday morning.

According to family sources, Waseem was forcibly taken away by armed men riding motorcycles from the Nazarabad area of Tump district. The family stated that he is an ordinary citizen and an athlete.

The family further said that Waseem was previously made to disappear in June 2017, during Ramadan, by an armed organization, but was later released after investigation and declared innocent.

According to the family, Waseem has been residing in Nazarabad for a long time and earns a living for his family by running a shop. They said he has no connection to any suspicious activity and expressed fear that the method of those who took him resembles that of the armed organization that disappeared him in the past.

The family has appealed to all relevant parties and armed organizations that if any organization has Waseem in its custody, he should be released immediately on humanitarian grounds. They said his life and freedom should be ensured as he is an ordinary citizen and an athlete.
