🇷🇺 A Russian military Tu-154 Tu-95 crashed shortly after takeoff in Amur Oblast, Russia, killing six of the seven people on board.

A fuel explosion aboard the aircraft is cited as the preliminary cause of the crash.

UPDATE: Initial reports identifying the aircraft as a Tu-154 passenger/transport aircraft turned out to be incorrect. It was later confirmed to be a Tu-95 strategic bomber.
