Following the outbreak of Pneumonia Plague in Irtusk, Russia, the U.S. Embassy in Moscow has issued a Health Alert for the area, saying that the embassy in Russia is aware of reports, including those of deaths of individuals, quarantine measures, and closures of hospitals in the area.

Per the release, as expected, “the U.S. government has limited ability to help U.S. citizens in Russia, especially outside of Moscow.”
