🇱🇧🇸🇾 Lebanese Army Intercepts 245 kg of TNT Smuggled From Syria for Hezbollah

The Lebanese Army has thwarted an attempt to smuggle approximately 245 kg (540 lb) of highly explosive TNT from Syria into Lebanon, with Israeli channels reporting that the shipment was destined for Hezbollah.

The shipment, intercepted during surveillance operations along Lebanon’s northern and eastern borders, also contained four explosive devices, eight detonators and electrical wiring.

The smugglers reportedly fled back into Syria when an Army patrol arrived. The explosives were handed over to the relevant authorities, while Lebanese security forces are working to identify and arrest those involved.
