Ali Hama Salih, a member of the Kurdistan Region Parliament and leader of Halwest Movement, disclosed information regarding the reasons behind the rise in fuel prices in the Kurdistan Region, pointing to operations involving the transport of fuel from Sulaymaniyah to locations outside Iraq.

He stated that influential figures within the Kurdistan Region authorities are transporting fuel from Sulaymaniyah to Afghanistan. He added that the "Manifest" company charges $1,320 per truck at the Pashmakh border crossing in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, and noted that two days ago, gasoline was transported with a fee of $2,520 charged per tanker at the crossing.

He also revealed—according to his statements—that fuel belonging to the "Lanaz" company, which is linked to Masrour Barzani, is being transported to Turkey via the Ibrahim Khalil crossing in Duhok Governorate, with a daily value estimated at approximately $2 million.
