RESIDUE OF CONTACTS

We are used to perceiving the body as an instrument of the mind, forgetting that the body is who we are. It enters into contact with other people, spaces, and the world around us before we have time to translate the experience into words.

What happens when we trust our bodily reactions and intuition? How can we communicate without words?

Residue of Contacts explores contact as a form of language — through the body, gesture, movement, rhythm, presence, material, and space. The exhibition brings together artists working across different media, inviting us to consider artistic practice as a language that exists not only within art, but also in everyday life.

What remains after an encounter? How does contact change us and the spaces around us? And what if an artistic statement can be understood not through words, but through what happens between us?
