Julian and Stella Assange helped lead more than 100,000 Australians in a march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to oppose Israel's campaign of slaughter, subjugation and censorship. Police had earlier tried to block the March but were overruled by the New South Wales Supreme Court.

The director of a new film on the life and work of Julian Assange has won the first Golden Globe Prize for Documentary, ahead of the film's premiere at Cannes this year. The award was presented to Eugene Jurecki for his biopic ‘The Six Billion Dollar Man’ at the Plage des Palmes during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

“The art and power of documentary is to show the ultimate cost and sacrifice of those who work to expose the truth,” said actress Tessa Thompson, who announced the award.

New evidence shows the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) deleted crucial emails with the Swedish authorities about Julian Assange while the extradition case was ongoing.

At the time, the CPS—under the leadership of Keir Starmer —urged Swedish prosecutors not to drop or progress the case, which “helped create the legal paralysis that kept Assange arbitrarily detained in London and under investigation in Sweden for years.”

This was the situation the UN later condemned as ‘arbitrary detention.’ For six years, UK authorities refused to disclose when or why the emails were deleted.

The details emerged only after a UK Tribunal ordered the CPS to find missing records in January 2025.

Germany is attempting to deport EU citizens for political activism - even those not convicted of any crime.

Three EU citizens have had their right to free movement revoked and now face deportation for participating in protests against the war in Gaza.

Hundreds of foreign students in the U.S. have been told they must self-deport or they will be forcibly deported for campus activism—including attending protests or posting on social media.

This comes after the launch of AI system "Catch and Revoke", which trawls social media for politically incorrect speech. Speaking to reporters, Rubio said ‘Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visas… At some point, I hope we run out.’

There are over 1.1 million international students in the U.S. today.

CIA agent accused of spying on Assange caught faking evidence.

Spanish courts have launched a criminal investigation against accused CIA contractor David Morales for forging official documents. Morales created the documents in an alleged attempt to justify bugging Julian Assange's meetings with his lawyers and doctors. Forensics reports and officials confirm that the evidence was fabricated.

This is the second time Morales has been allegedly caught forging emails and documents from Ecuadorian Ambassador Carlos Abad. Abad mocked Morales' earlier forgery: "in 27 years I had never seen something so poorly done; even amateur hackers are better at phishing."

"Governments are increasingly considering integrating autonomous AI agents in high-stakes military and foreign-policy decision-making, especially with the emergence of advanced generative AI models like GPT-4. Our work aims to scrutinize the behavior of multiple AI agents in simulated wargames, specifically focusing on their predilection to take escalatory actions that may exacerbate multilateral conflicts.

Drawing on political science and international relations literature about escalation dynamics, we design a novel wargame simulation and scoring framework to assess the escalation risks of actions taken by these agents in different scenarios. Contrary to prior studies, our research provides both qualitative and quantitative insights and focuses on large language models (LLMs).

We find that all five studied off-the-shelf LLMs show forms of escalation and difficult-to-predict escalation patterns. We observe that models tend to develop arms-race dynamics, leading to greater conflict, and in rare cases, even to the deployment of nuclear weapons.

Qualitatively, we also collect the models' reported reasonings for chosen actions and observe worrying justifications based on deterrence and first-strike tactics. Given the high stakes of military and foreign-policy contexts, we recommend further examination and cautious consideration before deploying autonomous language model agents for strategic military or diplomatic decision-making."
