🧬 В Дубне проходит IX Съезд по радиационным исследованиям

С 5 по 9 октября Дубна стала центром притяжения для более 400 ученых из 11 стран и 108 научных центров. ОИЯИ впервые принимает это масштабное событие, выступая его организатором совместно с Научным советом РАН по радиобиологии.

В течение пяти дней специалисты представят около 270 научных докладов. В фокусе внимания съезда — широкая междисциплинарная повестка:

💚 радиобиология, радиоэкология и радиационная безопасность;
💚 ядерная медицина и лучевая терапия;
💚 космическая радиобиология и безопасность межпланетных полетов;
💚 Развитие радиационных технологий и подготовка кадров.

В заключительный день в университете «Дубна» пройдёт круглый стол, посвящённый 40-летию аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС. Участники обсудят её долгосрочные последствия и исторические уроки.

🧬 Ninth Congress on Radiation Research taking place in Dubna

From 5 to 9 October, Dubna became a centre of attraction for more than 400 scientists from 11 countries and 108 research centres. JINR is hosting this large-scale event for the first time, acting as its organizer jointly with the Scientific Council on Radiobiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Over the course of five days, experts will present about 270 scientific talks. The congress follows a broad interdisciplinary agenda:

💚 radiobiology, radioecology, and radiation safety;
💚 nuclear medicine and radiation therapy;
💚 space radiobiology and the safety of interplanetary flights;
💚 development of radiation technologies and personnel training.

On the final day, Dubna University will host a round table dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident. The participants will discuss its long-term consequences and lessons learnt.
