For Ildus, a Bachelor’s student in software engineering at ITMO, a semester exchange at Ajman University (UAE) was a deeply personal and eye-opening experience.
What I liked most was the attitude of the university staff, dormitory employees, and people in general toward students, especially international ones.
During his exchange, Ildus took part in lots of special events for exchange students: from exploring local landmarks to an unforgettable meeting with the university rector, where conversations flowed in a friendly, informal atmosphere.
Among my pleasant memories, I would also highlight sports and the coaches. The quality and the community built around it are impressive.

Overall, the exchange experience was extremely useful and enriching, both academically and personally.
