Elon Musk, Indian billionaires embattled over country’s broadband future

The clash over India's satellite broadband spectrum allocation heated up as Elon Musk opposed government auctioning, calling it "unprecedented." Musk's Starlink favors administrative allotment, while Mukesh Ambani's Reliance says an auction is needed for a level playing field

Reliance has also challenged the telecom regulator's process, calling for it to restart, over signs broadband spectrum would be allocated and not auctioned.

India's satellite broadband market is projected to grow 36% annually, reaching $1.9 billion by 2030. RT.com
