📌 Tehran, IRNA –Government spokesperson, Fatemeh Mohajerani, emphasizing Iran's steadfastness against bloodthirsty enemies, says the US-Israeli crimes must be exposed using different mechanisms and platforms.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of a book on the deadly US bombing of a school in southern Iran, entitled Khunabeh Minab (Minab's Bloody Waters), on Sunday, Mohajerani said cinema, theater, novels, poetry, and painting are the mediums through which to reveal what the enemy has done to the country.
Stressing that art must step in to aid the act of storytelling—especially about the tragedies faced during the imposed wars—she said a steadfast yet aggrieved Iran stands tall against the most bloodthirsty individuals, in reference to aggressive American and Israeli rulers.
She honored those who sacrificed their lives for Iran, saying the nation, over the past 47 years, has witnessed many martyrs—with over 200,000 in a single historical period—demonstrating that Iranians are deeply familiar with the culture of martyrdom and the nurturing of martyrs.
Referring to the US atrocity at the Shajareh Tayyebah School in Minab, Mohajerani said the tragedy had touched the heart of every individual, and that she herself was unable to explain the harrowing scenes of the school and the families who lost their loved ones.
That was the moment I realized art must step in to aid the storytelling process about what the enemy did to Iran, she said, arguing that art is a tool that helps vividly portray both the darkness and the grandeur of humanity, thereby preventing events like Minab from recurring.
Referring to Khunabeh Minab (Minab's Bloody Waters), Mohajerani extended her gratitude to the author, who she said practically lived in Minab for nearly forty days, spending days and nights at the martyrs' cemetery to complete the work.
We hope to effectively tell the story of the suffering endured by Iranian children during the US-Israeli-imposed war, she added.
