📌 Bandar Abbas, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, says Iran is following up on legal action over the Minab school attack, including lawsuits in foreign courts.
Gharibabadi made the remarks during a visit on Sunday to the families of victims of the US’s brutal attack on the school.
The official said evidence of the act of aggression has been collected and that relevant authorities are preparing legal cases to hold those responsible accountable in foreign courts.
Gharibabadi stressed that schools, educational institutions and hospitals are protected under international humanitarian law during armed conflicts, adding that attacks on such facilities constitute serious violations of these rules.
He said the Foreign Ministry, the Presidential Legal Affairs Office and other relevant bodies are working together to pursue the case through legal, political and diplomatic channels.
The attack on Shajareh Tayyebeh School took place on February 28, 2026, during the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, killing 168 children, teachers, school staff and parents.
