📌 Tehran, IRNA — Minister of Justice Amin Hossein Rahimi has praised the performance of the police during the recently imposed wars against Iran.
The American and Zionist enemy, contrary to all international laws, attacked police headquarters, which, according to the rules, constitutes a war crime, because the police serve to maintain order and security for the people, and police headquarters are different from military installations, Rahimi said on Tuesday.
The enemy struck police headquarters in an attempt to undermine public security; however, the police, through vigilance, self-sacrifice, and continued operations from vehicles on the streets, kept providing services, thereby neutralizing the conspiracy,” he added.
Last year, the Judiciary emphasized the necessity of judicial pursuit of crimes committed during the recent war, he said, adding that in the recent incidents, another crime occurred and some of the country’s officials were martyred, an act that is also contrary to international rules.
Judiciary and Justice Ministry, working together, have launched serious efforts to pursue the aggressors internationally and domestically, Rahimi stated.
Criticizing the impunity of aggressors in the international system, he said unfortunately, international rules are ineffective in some cases, and whoever has more power assumes they can do anything. However, even if there is the smallest opening for pursuit in international authorities, Iran will not fall short until the aggressors are brought to justice.
Domestically as well, the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran provide for such action, and numerous cases have been filed to prosecute the aggressors and obtain compensation, including cases involving the devoted police personnel who were harmed in these incidents, Rahimi said.
