Zahra Behrouz Azar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, commented on the achievements of Iranian female athletes at the 2026 Asian Games. She noted that across the previous 19 editions, Iranian women had earned five Asian gold medals in total.
This year, however, they secured three gold medals, bringing about a 60 percent rise in that achievement.
