✅ICM and the University of Gothenburg are jointly convening a
Global Utstein Meeting on Person-Centred Care and Simulation-Based Learning in Midwifery Education and Practice.We are keen to ensure that globally relevant research experts are included in this process to provide expert opinion and contribute to the development of new ICM Global Standards through a consensus-based approach focused on these topics.
Selection to the Expert Reference Group will include attendance at a Utstein Meeting in Norway in April 2027, as well as ongoing participation in planning and consensus meetings before and after the event. These activities will support the development and publication of new ICM Global Standards and an implementation guide. Meetings will be held virtually throughout 2026 and 2027.

• Person-centred care in sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health (SRMNAH), with a focus on midwifery education;
• Simulation-based learning;
• Midwifery education, including both pre-service and in-service education and learning.
Candidates with expertise spanning two or more of these areas are especially encouraged.Please note that
nominees must be able to actively contribute in English, as all meetings and discussions will be conducted in English.
If you know of research experts in these fields, please feel free to share this call directly with them.

• A brief biography;
• Links to relevant research, publications, or other evidence of expertise.
