Watching Is Enough. We Need Practical Support. From the very first days, the mass protests of the Iranian people made one reality unmistakably clear. A long era of repression, humiliation, and denial has come to an end. We endured twelve consecutive days of a total blackout. During these days, millions of Iranians peacefully demanded freedom, and thousands were killed while thousands more were injured. Much of this happened in front of our own eyes, and many of the victims were our friends, colleagues, and loved ones. These are not stories or claims. They are the lived reality of a nation.
The internet blackout in #Iran continues, leaving us cut off from the fate of countless people dear to us. In these conditions, free access to the internet is no longer a political demand or a distant promise. It is an urgent human necessity. What has long been discussed as global support for #internet freedom must now become real and effective action. While economic hardship, structural corruption, and deep social injustice ignited this nationwide uprising, strikes and acts of civil disobedience continue. The people of Iran need the ability to communicate, to be seen, and to receive meaningful support, not repeated statements and passive observation.
Intimidation and violence persist, but one fact is now undeniable. There is no path of retreat, no internal reform, and no compromise left. Iranian society has moved beyond the Islamic Republic. This national movement will continue with or without the support of the international community. History will remember who stood with the people of Iran and who chose to remain observers.
