Take my hand…
Show me all the parts that you do not love,
the ones you tuck away in the shadows
where the silence is thick and words are thin,
those corners that ache like old wounds
buried under skin that lost their language a long time ago and speak no in tightness in your chest or tears in the night.
Let me see the scars you hold in your hands,
those tender places bruised by time,
the questions unanswered, the hopes untended….
whisper them softly into the night air,
where I can gather them like scattered seeds and place them softly in soil of a garden I tend within my own inner sanctum
I will begin there, where the pain is raw,
in the cracks that split the surface,
and slowly, with gentle fingers, I’ll trace
the lines of your heart, unweaving the threads
of doubt, fear, and the stories told too long.
I will not flinch at what you show me….
for in those broken spaces lies the truth,
and in that truth, the quiet strength
to rebuild, to bloom, to rise anew.
I will begin with the jagged edges,
where love once lingered and then slipped away,
where your laughter faltered in mid-flight,
and dreams, like glass, shattered softly
into pieces too small to hold.
I will gather them, each shard a memory,
sharp, yet glimmering in the light of what could be,
and I will lay them down gently,
one by one,
to form a mosaic of who you are without the need to be perfect, put together….without their reflection to worry about the worth of the love you’ve always yearned.
when the mosaic is whole,
you will see yourself not in fragments,
but in bright brilliant spectrums of light that only you could create….
each flaw a fallacy, each break a beacon, a brushstroke
on the canvas of your being enough as you are.
We will stand there in the quiet,
as the light moves through the cracks,
and know that even in the pieces
there is a beauty
only time and truth can reveal.
So show me,
and I will begin
Slowly
