— 🇺🇸 A 42-year-old Atlanta man, identified as Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, died and several others were injured following an incident on the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, with witnesses reporting that he fell from the ride and struck other passengers.

Cobb County Police and the ride's manufacturer are investigating the circumstances, while Six Flags has temporarily closed nine rides across the United States and Canada as a precaution.

The fatality follows the company's recent decision to retire the X2 roller coaster in California after reports alleging serious injuries.
