❕ Your Content Is A Product, Not A Post

Most creators judge every piece of content individually. If a Reel gets low views, they assume it failed. If another one performs well, they try to repeat the same format.

The problem is that people don't follow posts.
They follow accounts.

When someone discovers your content, they rarely decide to follow after watching one Reel. They usually open your profile, watch a few more videos, scroll through your feed, read your bio, and only then decide whether your account is worth following.

That's why it's more useful to think of your profile as one product built from many pieces of content, rather than a collection of unrelated posts.

Every publication should reinforce your positioning. If your niche is Instagram growth, every Reel should make it more obvious that your account is the place to learn about Instagram. When today's post is about algorithms, tomorrow's is a travel vlog, and the next one is a phone review, new visitors receive mixed signals. Individual posts may perform well, but together they weaken your profile.

A better question to ask before publishing is not "Will this post get views?" but "Will this make someone more likely to follow me?"
Those are completely different goals.

Another useful exercise is to stop evaluating posts one by one and start looking at your profile as a first-time visitor.

Open your account and spend 10 seconds answering these questions:

➡️ Is it immediately clear what this account is about?
➡️ Do the recent posts solve similar problems?
➡️ Would I know what value I'll get by following?
➡️ Does the content feel consistent?

If you struggle to answer those questions, the problem probably isn't your latest Reel.
