😍 Instagram is losing users and trying to fix the feed

Meta reported a drop of 20 million daily active users across its apps this quarter, and Instagram is part of that slowdown. The issue looks familiar. Feeds are getting worse.

Too many ads, too many random recommendations, not enough content people actually care about.

➡️ A large share of the feed is suggested content, not from accounts you follow
➡️ Reposted and low quality content is crowding out original posts

Instagram is now adjusting the algorithm to push original content and limit reach for accounts that repost without meaningful changes.

The idea is simple. Bring back relevance.
