😡Instagram Sparks Outcry Over Survivor Story Ban
#news #Insta

Instagram has removed a popular account that shared a survivor’s story of sexual abuse by a Catholic priest. The story included claims that a senior church figure attempted to cover up the abuse.

Critics argue that instead of supporting survivors and raising awareness, Instagram silenced the account, igniting debates over how social media handles sensitive and real-life abuse content. This controversy raises questions about accountability and content moderation, showing that even platforms with billions of users can struggle with balancing safety and freedom of speech.
