Open Instagram in India and boom — you land straight on Reels instead of the usual home feed. Meta is testing a “Reels-first” design to push short videos even harder.

📌 The app now spotlights Reels and DMs in the navigation bar, while Stories stay pinned at the top. A new “Following” tab adds three views — All, Friends, and Latest — so you can still keep up with people you actually follow.
