President Trump said he got to the White House at 4:48 in the morning, and a soldier announced, "448, President has arrived." His reaction: "That's the coolest thing I've ever heard."

Then he got to the real point, praising the Supreme Court's ruling: "Everything now is based on merit. The military, jobs, college."

That's how it should be. The kid with straight A's and a 1600 gets the seat. The strongest soldier gets the job. You earn your spot by being the best, not by checking a box.

Merit is back in America, and the left can't stand it.
