📂 CIA DECLASSIFIES PRE-9/11 PRESIDENTIAL BRIEFS

The CIA has released dozens of previously classified presidential intelligence briefs detailing what Washington knew about Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda before September 11, 2001.

The documents include:

• Warnings dating back to 1998
• Reporting on possible aircraft hijackings
• Concerns about attacks inside the United States
• Intelligence suggesting planes could be used as weapons

The reports did not reveal the final plot in time—but they expose the fragments that existed across the system.

Intelligence failures rarely begin with zero information.

They begin when the available pieces are never assembled into one actionable picture.
