عبارت "I'm sold" از نظر ساختاری و معنایی دو لایه دارد. همان‌طور که خواستی، ابتدا ترجمه تحت‌اللفظی (واژه به واژه) و سپس شرح معنای واقعی آن را بررسی می‌کنیم:
۱. ترجمه واژه به واژه (Literal Translation)
اگر بخواهیم دقیقاً طبق کلمات ترجمه کنیم، به این صورت می‌شود:

ترجمه تحت‌اللفظی: «من فروخته شده هستم.»

### ۲. شرح معنای واقعی و اصطلاحی (Idiomatic Meaning)
در زبان انگلیسی، وقتی کسی از این عبارت استفاده می‌کند، منظور این نیست که او خودش به عنوان یک کالا فروخته شده است! بلکه این یک اصطلاح (Idiom) است.
معنای واقعی:
این عبارت زمانی به کار می‌رود که شما توسط یک ایده، یک پیشنهاد، یک محصول یا یک استدلال، کاملاً متقاعد شده باشید. یعنی آن چیز آنقدر جذاب یا منطقی بوده که شما دیگر هیچ شک و تردیدی ندارید و حاضرید آن را بپذیرید.

خلاصه:
وقتی می‌گویی I'm sold، یعنی آن ایده یا کالا مثل یک فروشنده موفق، «فروشنده» (Persuaded) شده و تو را کاملاً با خود همراه کرده است.
