IDF: To remove the threat: the IDF eliminated two Hamas terrorists, including a commander involved in transferring millions of Israeli shekels to the terrorist organization

Yesterday (Thursday), the IDF struck in the Deir al-Balah area and eliminated Jabr Moqbel, a terrorist in Hamas’ military wing.

The terrorist led the “Moqbel” money exchange network, which transferred millions of shekels in foreign currency to the Hamas terrorist organization. These funds are used by Hamas to finance terrorists, restore military infrastructure, and advance attacks against IDF troops.

The IDF continues to focus efforts on disrupting Hamas’ financing capabilities that support its military activities, in order to prevent the rehabilitation of its infrastructure and military capabilities.

In an additional strike yesterday (Thursday), in the Khan Yunis area, the IDF eliminated the terrorist Hasan al-Batta, a sniper operative in Hamas’ military wing.

Recently, the terrorists advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and operated to restore the terrorist organization's capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The terrorists were eliminated in order to remove the threat they posed.

Prior to the strikes, measures were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.

IDF troops under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
