i've been learning korean for almost 6 months through weekly classes
however, after my recent trip to seoul, i can't help but feel that i'm learning too slowly because i was still unable to have a basic conversation w locals
i suddenly have the urge to go all in and master it asap, before moving on to my next language
(i have a life goal of becoming a polyglot)
what's the best way to learn a language?
here's one from reddit:
• Learn the most common ~100-200 words as fast as possible.
• Start forming basic sentences and get a super broad overview of how the grammar works.
• Start finding native content, then continue learning the most common 2000 words.
• Start output practice with either a tutor or just simple journaling.
• Keep grinding vocab until it feels sufficient, usually 5000 words or so and then full immersion can be the most effective.
1000 words will cover ~80% of the language.
tldr;
i have decided that Korean will be my curriculum for the rest of Q2!
(after finishing up the current books that i'm halfway through)
