Asgarbhai Vohra, an 81-year-old man who recently met his “schoolmate” Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has reportedly received a major relief in a land dispute in Maharashtra. A firm linked to BJP MLA Narendra Mehta surrendered its construction permission for the disputed plot, news agency PTI reported on Wednesday.

India on Wednesday rejected the so-called Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission, with the Ministry of External Affairs saying there is no boundary between Pakistan and China and describing the commission as having no legal basis. The MEA reiterated that India has never recognised the so-called ‘China-Pakistan Boundary Agreement’ of 1963 and has consistently maintained that it is illegal and invalid.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has now said that such prompts put pressure on consumers to pay more at the very moment they were waiting for their ride to be confirmed.

The authority imposed a ₹1 million penalty on Roppen Transportation Services Pvt Ltd, which operates Rapido, and directed the company to stop using the prompts and other interface designs that could steer riders towards higher payments.

#WATCH | The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its troops destroyed ready-to-use Hezbollah rocket launchers carrying 32 rockets aimed at Israel in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, forces from the 55th Brigade operating under the 91st Division discovered the launchers during searches in what Israel calls its security zone in southern Lebanon. The military said the rockets had been positioned at the site before the current ceasefire agreement took effect.
