Another reason why it’s critically important to have legally recognized rights is simply because if you don’t, at some point the government will deny those rights and throw people (you and your kinsmen) in prison for simply exercising those rights. This matters regardless of where you stand on the actual utility of any natural right.
In other words, going to prison is never “BASED”, therefore having a Bill of Rights actually is very based.
