How to Secure an Epic Games / Fortnite Account:

Remove External Connections
Ask the seller to unlink all external accounts (Xbox, PSN, Nintendo) that you won’t be using. Have them remove any third-party apps with access to the account.

Be Cautious with Email Changes
Don’t change the email immediately. First, ensure no one else has recently logged into the account, as sudden changes could trigger account disablement.

Secure the Current Email
Strengthen the password for the email tied to the account. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for the email for added security.

Change the Password
Change the Epic Games account password to something strong and unique.

Turn on 2FA

After some time, download the PDF with the account history for documentation. Avoid doing this immediately, as it may lock the account.
