🔸 According with data from the UNHCR, in 2026, a total of 25.524 illegal immigrants entered Greece through land and sea.

🏔 5.737 illegals entered through land, in the Evros region (22.4%)
⛵️ 19.787 entered through sea (77.5%)

‼️ Out of the ones that arrived from sea 13.535 of these (68%) arrived to Crete, while the rest arrived through the other Aegean islands.

⚠️ It is important to note that the data from UNHCR only accounts for illegal immigrants who requested Asylum and is impossible to account for the illegals that simply arrived unoticed and either went to another country or stayed in Greece illegally

📅 The months of June and August were the ones that saw the most activity, with 4.539 and 5.135 arrivals respectively

👦🏾 Nearly 79% of illegals are adult males, less than 9% are women and 12.5% are minors

⚠️ Sudan (29.4%), Bangladesh (25.8%) and Afghanistan (9.3%) are the top 3 countries for sea arrivals
