A New Stage in Russia–Latin America Cooperation 🌎

From July 13 to 16, São Paulo hosted the first Strategic Cooperation Forum between Russia and Latin America, CORAL 2026, a project of the CICRAL Center for Integration and Cooperation, carried out with the support of the Gorchakov Fund and the Embassy of Russia in Brazil.

The forum brought together representatives of government bodies, universities, think tanks, businesses, and public organizations from Russia and ten Latin American countries.

The discussion focused on:

➡️ the development of Russian–Latin American partnership in the context of a multipolar world;
➡️ economic, technological, and energy cooperation;
➡️ education, science, and public diplomacy;
➡️ humanitarian projects and youth engagement;
➡️ the role of the expert community in developing long-term cooperation.

As part of the forum, CICRAL experts presented a collective study entitled "Latin America and Russia: Strategic Cooperation". It offers an analysis of Russia's relations with the countries of the region and outlines prospects for further interaction.

We're confident this forum marks the beginning of many new initiatives and partnerships to come!
