​​No place for Russia's allies! No place for the AfD!

The collaboration between the Russian state and the far-right AfD party can no longer be denied.

For years, Russia has been supporting the AfD financially and through the media, and using people close to the AfD as spies across Europe. In return, the AfD normalises Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, denies Russian war crimes and spreads Russian disinformation. This is not a fringe alliance, but part of a Europe-wide network of far-right forces that reinforce one another — at the expense of those who are actually suffering from war and fascism.

As anti-fascists, we must not ignore this problem. We are therefore taking to the streets in Berlin on 5 September to shine a light on something too often kept in the shadows: the close ties between the Russian state and the far right in Germany.

Recognising and naming this connection is the first step towards fighting it — precisely because the AfD presents itself to parts of the public as supposedly independent or even critical, while in reality it benefits from Russian support and spreads Russian narratives.
