❌ Apps installed on the work profile do not have access to NFC and do not appear in the wallet app list

Status: Intended Behavior

Answer: Wallet role is not supported on Secondary Profiles (like Work Profile) only apps. If the app is present on the primary profile and secondary profile, then choosing the primary profile app works as the wallet role holder for both profiles. Hence we are closing this as Intended.
