✡️🇮🇱 Illegal Israeli settlers torch trees & attack Palestinian olive pickers under army cover - report

Around 80 illegal settlers dressed in black descended on a terraced olive grove near Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah in the West Bank, where villagers had gathered for the annual olive harvest, according to Reuters.

👉 Some carried gas canisters, while others used slings to hurl stones at Palestinians, who retreated down the hillside before throwing stones back.

The violence continued after Israeli military jeeps arrived at the scene, with soldiers firing tear gas toward Palestinians, while the sound of live gunfire was heard in the area.

Olive trees were set ablaze, and at least two people, including The Washington Post journalist Heidi Levine, were injured in the violence.

The assault was part of a broader wave of settler violence targeting Palestinians during the olive harvest - a vital source of income and a deeply rooted tradition.
