💥 Russia pounds Kiev as Ukraine complains West gave no missile warning

Russian ballistic missiles struck Kiev before Ukraine received the advance launch information it normally gets from Western partners, Zelensky whined. Reuters confirmed that Ukraine received no prior warning of the attack.

Ukrainian media reported major explosions and fires, while incoming missiles were reportedly detected only when they were already approaching the capital.

Politico reported that US officials blamed the missed warning on “bad weather” — an explanation that raised eyebrows in Kiev.

The timing is particularly awkward: Washington has recently warned Ukraine that continued attacks on Russian oil refineries could put US intelligence sharing and weapons support at risk.

For now, both US and Ukrainian officials maintain that intelligence sharing has not formally been suspended.
