🇵🇰🚨 Police crack down on Imran Khan supporters in key province

Social media users are posting numerous photos and videos of the crackdown on demonstrators in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The PTI reports that police opened live fire on peaceful protesters. Eyewitnesses say that police are breaking into the homes of supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government, made up mostly of Imran Khan's PTI supporters, backed a large-scale demonstration demanding the release of their leader from prison. The federal government cites PTI's failure against militancy and the alleged weaponization of state machinery. It has imposed a state of emergency.
